Founded in 2015 by Maria Sileny, the Prague Literary Agency represents well-established contemporary Czech authors to international publishers. In our portfolio, we offer high-quality fiction and children's literature. Discover award-winning, bestselling literature with a great potential to be successful internationally.
In our portfolio you can find fiction, memoir, experimental fiction, travelogue, short stories, poetry and children‘s literature. We are proud of our carefully selected Czech authors and their unique voices, enriching world literature.

Maria Sileny
Literary Agent
Maria was born in Prague, but has been living in Germany since she was a teenager. She studied Political Science, German Linguistics, American Culture and also Publishing Science in Munich. She has been working as a German journalist and editor for many years.
Thanks to her Czech roots, she has been lucky enough to encounter some excellent Czech fiction writers, who filled her with enthusiasm and awakened a strong interest in contemporary Czech literature. This experience made her decide to represent these authors abroad, and she founded the Prague Literary Agency in 2015.
